The best of friends

So today I got one of those Good days. You know when everything your pencil touches turns to gold, ha.
I started off by looking at some sketches by Chris Sanders (Whom is, by the way, one of the Greatest animator/artist of our time!!) and tried to re-paint them.
Then, I took two photographs from google and did my own style with a hint of Chris Sanders.

Inspiration of the day: Heroes by David Bowie, which I heard on the so so amazing film; 'The perks of bring a Wallflower'.

Still a work in progress. And it's still a lot left to do on it, but for now I think I'm going to focus on the eyes,
because they did not end up the way I wanted them to. And the eyes are the most important thing that really
needs to be perfect I think. Because the eyes tells you all you need to know about a person; 
What kind of mood they are in, or what they are feeling, you can tell a lot about someone by their eyes.
Because they are the windows to your soul.

I started a new painting on a bigger canvas yesterday. But since there is something wrong with gmail, I can't email the photo I took to my computer,
so until tomorrow you can have these cute babycats I sketched in like five minutes.

Friend of mine

So one of my friends has this AMAZING hair. So while all of my friends were playing cards, I couldn't help myself from trying to sketch it.

So my first idea was to make him very pale with dark black hair. But I also wanted to make him really handsome. 

And I didn't really know if this was it;

So I decided to color him in the total opposite way to what I had thought in the first place. 
A nicely tan with blond wavy hair;

Honestly, I still really don't know if I choose right when I decided to go with the blond.
